We built Tvora Studio to help Shopify stores turn their videos into a shoppable storefront — carousels, story bars, banner videos and product-page reels that shoppers can buy from in a single tap. To do that well, the app has to handle some data: your store's, and a little from the people who shop on it. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we do with it. No dark patterns and no fine-print traps — if anything here isn't clear, email us and we'll fix the wording.
Tvora Studio is a shoppable-video app for Shopify, built and run by a small team in India. When we say “we”, “us” or “the app”, we mean Tvora Studio. When we say “you”, we usually mean the merchant who installs the app on their Shopify store.
There are two sides to this — the merchant side and the storefront side.
From you, the merchant. When you install Tvora Studio through Shopify, Shopify gives us your store's domain and a secure access token so the app can read your products and manage the widgets you turn on. We store the reels you import or upload, the products you tag to them, your widget and brand settings, and your plan and billing status. If you add profile or brand details inside the dashboard, we keep those too. We do not ask for or store your card details — all billing runs through Shopify's own checkout.
From your storefront. When a shopper watches a reel, clicks a product, or checks out, the app records that event so you can see how your videos are doing — things like views, clicks, watch-time, which widget and page it happened on, and the type of device. Where we show revenue per reel, that number comes from the Shopify order data you've granted us access to; we use it to attribute sales to reels, not to build profiles of individual shoppers. This data stays tied to your store, and we don't sell it or hand it to advertisers.
When you import reels. If you pull videos in from Instagram or TikTok by username, we use a third-party scraper (Apify) to fetch the public reels you asked for, and we re-host those video files on our own servers so they keep playing on your store even after the original links expire.
Plainly: to make the app work and to show you honest numbers. Your store token lets us serve the right reels and products. The events let us give you real analytics instead of guesses. Your settings let the storefront widget look and behave the way you set it. Your billing status tells us which features your plan unlocks. That's the whole list — we don't quietly repurpose your data for anything you didn't sign up for.
The “Order on WhatsApp” button is a plain click-to-chat link. When a shopper taps it, their own WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message they can send or edit. We don't send WhatsApp messages on anyone's behalf, we don't use the WhatsApp Business API, and we don't store WhatsApp conversations or phone numbers.
We keep your data for as long as Tvora Studio is installed on your store. If you uninstall, we stop collecting new data, and we remove or anonymise your store's data within a reasonable window — unless we're legally required to hold on to some of it, such as invoice records. If you'd like it gone sooner, just ask.
Your access token and settings sit on servers we control, and billing runs through Shopify, so we never see your payment details. We use HTTPS everywhere and follow Shopify's app-security requirements. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your store's data the way we'd want ours treated.
You're always in control. You can uninstall Tvora Studio from your Shopify admin at any time, which cuts off our access straight away. You can switch integrations on or off yourself. And you can email us to see, correct, export, or delete the data we hold about your store — we'll help, not stall.
Tvora Studio is a tool for merchants. We don't knowingly collect personal information from your shoppers beyond the anonymous performance events described above, and the app isn't directed at children.
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and move the “last updated” date. If it's a meaningful change, we'll do our best to tell you inside the app rather than hoping you happen to notice.
